"I had always dreamed of building a timber frame home with wide plank flooring. Finding Mitch Upton in Canada was a stroke of luck and the product I received from him was superior to anything I've seen on the market. Now my rich, honey-toned 12" wide, sixty year old plank floors give character and beauty to my home and draw raves from all who visit. Most importantly, Mitch was a joy to work with and his love for and work in wood is an inspiration. From flooring to furniture, I enthusiastically recommend him."

"I build high end custom homes and it has been a pleasure and privilege to use flooring and interior trim products supplied by Solid Wood Products. The wood is well beyond the quality I've received in the past from other suppliers; the recycled materials are beautiful, dry and stable. I feel very confident after discussing a project that Mitch will supply what I need based on the look we are trying to achieve. I think he has great insight. I also feel very confident that my order will be filled accurately and that it will meet my critical expectations. I feel very lucky to have made this contact. I will continue to use Mitch and his products as long as they are available."

"Our reclaimed plank floors are more than just a flooring solution they are a conversation piece! They bring warmth and beauty into our timberframe home and our visitors never fail to comment on the character and uniqueness of each individual plank. Best of all, this is easily the most low-maintenance floor we have ever owned. Thanks Mitch, for creating this beautiful legacy flooring for our home!"

"We have just finished our vacation home in New England the
interior of which is clad entirely with Mitch's reclaimed douglas fir
boards. He also helped us select the right finish for the boards once
they were installed. I found Mitch by googling "reclaimed douglas fir" on the internet. It seemed like a gamble to work with someone in
Canada on the other side of the continent but it turned out to be the
smartest thing I ever did. He worked extensively with our architect
and our contractor to help make sure we got the right materials when
we needed them. He also answered questions about the appropriate
finish and installation techniques. Every board in our cottage passed
through Mitch's careful hands and every board is a piece of art. I
feel so lucky to have found my way to him. Our new home has a bit of
the character of the trees of British Columbia in it thanks to Mitch.
I feel that I made a connection with an artist on this project. It was
way more than just a wood supply relationship."
